Logan Heights Duplex Plagued by Crime to be Vacated, Rehabilitated

SAN DIEGO (CNS) — A Logan Heights duplex that city officials say has been the site of violent criminal activity will be vacated and rehabilitated, the San Diego City Attorney's Office announced Thursday.

Former Medical Building Could Be Demolished

The “Seaside Medical Building” appears to be at a point of no return, so Crescent City officials appeared before Superior Court Judge Darren McElfresh asking that a receivership be granted to figure something out for the building which has become a magnet for pests and vandals.

Mayan Hotel Demolished

EL CENTRO — The Mayan Hotel at press time is currently being knocked down by a demolishing crew Monday morning, July 19. The historic hotel on 595 W. State Street in El Centro was gutted by fire in February 2021. Demolition started at 9:30 a.m.

Court Appointed Receiver Begins Clean Up of 'Dangerous Hoarding Property' in Bay Terraces
